Language Communication Supports

Interpreting and Translation Services

English-Japanese Interpretation & Translation

The requirements for an excellent interpreter or translator go beyond advanced language proficiency. A wide range of considerations must be taken into account, such as an understanding of different cultures, the literacy level of the target audience, and the context of the situation. Only by weighing all these factors one can correctly judge what and how to translate. As a language specialist, ANCS understands the importance of elements beyond language itself.

ANCS provides dedicated support to ensure your cross-cultural communication flows smoothly in critical situations requiring reliable interpretation and translation services, such as studying abroad or international business.

ASL Interpretation

ASL Interpretation

In the United States, the Americans with Disabilities Act mandates that businesses, public agencies, and hospitals provide interpreters or other means of communication for individuals with hearing disabilities, requiring sign language interpreters in various settings.

  • In the field of education, ANSC primarily provides interpretation services for parent-teacher meetings dispatched by local boards of education. This includes situations such as students with hearing disabilities who have immigrated from Japan, or parents of American-born children with hearing disabilities who are first-generation immigrants from Japan and may not be proficient in English.
  • In legal matters, primarily in civil court proceedings, sign language interpreters are required when taking testimony or statements from persons with disabilities or witnesses during investigations into traffic accidents, workplace accidents, and so forth.
  • Many people with hearing disabilities enjoy traveling in the United States. Sign language interpreters accompany tours and provide interpretation services.
  • In recent years, more people in Japan have expressed interest in learning ASL. Many American deaf individuals are also interested in visiting Japan. ANSC hopes to establish a system in the near future to dispatch American deaf individuals to Japan as ASL instructors.

Custom Tour & Concierge Services

After gaining knowledge and experience in the travel industry through two years as a hotel front clerk and three years at a travel agency (Kintetsu International), I became a freelance tour guide/coordinator. I have planned and coordinated numerous tours. ANCS can even coordinate tours that are difficult for major travel agencies to organize, such as popular events and collaborations with schools.

Although the cost of services such as interpreters and local drivers can add up if booked separately, ANCS offers a convenient "Interpreter/Tour Guide/Concierge" package. This bundle plan enables us to offer a more affordable package rate than other travel agencies. Please feel free to consult with us about your desired tour details.

Features of ANCS Custom Tour

  • Wheelchair users who book group tours at travel agencies often face an additional fee on top of the standard rate paid by non-disabled individuals. Similarly, requesting individual arrangements often incurs extra charges. However, ANCS does not charge any additional fees.
  • Although hiring individual services, such as drivers and interpreters, often results in higher total costs, ANCS includes these services in our package price. This allows you to travel in Japan at a reasonable price.
  • You can rest assured that the package fee includes services such as conducting preliminary research and making arrangements based on individual requests, on-site support, settlement, and report preparation.
  • We organize numerous tours for American athletes and teams seeking short- to long-term stays in Japan for intensive training camps or martial arts training, collaborating with local training venues, gyms, and organizations that provide practice partners.
  • Deaf individuals wishing to attend events often faced situations where they had no choice but to go alone without support from travel agencies, or where limited information about the event and local conditions led them to give up early on despite their interest. While some travel agencies offer tours with ASL interpreters, options are limited and costs are high. ANCS can arrange tours, including ASL interpreters, at realistic prices that make travel fully feasible. If you are a deaf person from the United States who has previously given up on traveling to Japan, please don't give up and consult with us.
